Snipe Lake Information

The lake is about 2.5 acres in size with approximately 20 swims. The margins contain soft weed and some lilies and beyond the margins, the water has a depth between 10 and 18 feet.

There is a long thin island that holds a number of pegs and creates a small bay in the top corner that is a noted area.

Snipe lake contains a good variety of species with plenty of small perch, roach and rudd to keep the “bite bashers” happy. Better sized roach can be found fishing hemp and casters.

Tench are present in good numbers and result in sizeable nets in spring and early summer to the angler lucky enough to locate them. In addition there are big bream, crucians, eels and big perch up to 3lb 12oz.
